Your Complete Guide to KCON:TACT SEASON 2
KCON:TACT SEASON 2 is just over a week away and we wanted to take this chance to completely go through the event from A-Z. Our goal is to make this the main resource for any information you may need about membership, broadcast programs, new features, artist interaction events, and more. We've done our best to keep it very link focused so you can take direct action on the things you want to do and on the lighter side with images since you are undoubtedly being inundated with square graphics every way you turn. (Can we get a hexagon? Triangle? Trapezoid?) Thank you as always for staying with us and we can't wait to see you at KCON:TACT! MEMBERSHIP For KCON:TACT SEASON 2, there are two types of membership--KCON:TACT and KCON:TACT PLUS. We'll go through in more detail below, but the tiers differ on four points: Price, Channel, Replay, FanPick Cam. Both tiers will be able to view all of the scheduled programs and participate in any of the artist interaction events (Fan Featuring, LIVE KCON-ers, Live Premiere, etc...) KCON:TACT tier is $19.99 and it is available via KCON official and Mnet K-Pop YouTube channels. It will offer fans the ability to replay each day's concert + M&G as a livestream replay (i.e. you will not be able to navigate to different moments as with VOD), but will not offer FanPick Cam, a feature that allows you to control the camera to focus on your favorite idols. KCON:TACT PLUS tier is $24.99 and it is only available on KCON official. This is so we can keep the premium features on a single channel. This tier will give fans a VOD of each day's concert + M&G after the livestream finishes (i.e. you will be able to replay anytime you want and navigate) and will offer the FanPick Cam. Please note, all of these features are only available to those who are viewing KCON:TACT via YouTube. In an effort to make KCON:TACT more available in nations where YouTube memberships are not available there are platforms to view the stream, however all of the actual interactive elements, concert replays + VOD are only available to those who are viewing via YouTube. FanPick Cam: During the concert + M&G block of programming we're giving fans the ability to essentially watch KCON:TACT as a fan cam. You'll have the ability to rotate the camera to watch your bias(es) perform. Fan Request: This social only campaign asks fans to "request" the artists they would like to see in collabs or which songs they would like to see artists perform or even what concept you would like to see them in. While it does seem too close to the event for your voice to be heard, live events are always planned with a certain amount "on the fly" so please send us your requests. In the "Fan Request" section below we'll link to each of the posts for each artist. Live Chat + Artist Interaction @ M&G: We heard that you wanted more interaction possibilities with the artists as you would at KCON's artist engagement. So, for this KCON:TACT we'll have the ability for the artists to interact with fans via SuperChat and more chances for fans to join in games during the the M&G. SCHEDULE The "Schedule" tab allows you to both view the complete KCON:TACT schedule of events and also add events to your personal calendar. Never miss a KCON:TACT moment! For ease of viewing, you may also view the schedule via the two images below as well. Concert + M&G: The concert and meet & greet content block will run similarly to KCON:TACT 2020 SUMMER with some key additional features: 1) FanPick Cam, 2) Upgraded AR and stage technology, 3) Increased fan interaction during M&G. This livestream is only available to members and will begin at 5 AM PT. M&G: This one is a little confusing since we also have M&G as part of the above program block. To explain, from Monday to Thursday KCON:TACT will operate more like a KCON Convention and feature additional M&G sessions (artist engagement), classes (panels/workshops), and the KCON Studio. These M&G sessions are only different in that they are broadcast on the weekdays. This livestream is only available to members and will begin at 5 AM PT. Hi! Fan Featuring is back for KCON:TACT season 2! Below, we'll have all of the graphic guides for the currently announced artists as well as the basic information you will need to apply. Membership Event: "Fan Featuring" What is Fan Featuring?: Basically, this is a set of events where fans have the chance to have their messages and videos featured during the actual KCON:TACT concert as a special stage for the following artists: ATEEZ, IZ*ONE, KARD, MAMAMOO, SUNMI, THE BOYZ Will this campaign be shown on the KCON:TACT season 2 broadcast?: Yes. Can I submit to multiple artists?: Yes, you may make a submission to each fan featuring event. Can anyone participate?: No. Only those who are legal adults within their nation of residence by the date of broadcast may participate. Why is there an age restriction?: Due to broadcasting rules regarding minors (and the classification of minors varying across different countries) only those who are legal adults in their country of residence may participate. What is the deadline to submit?: October 9, 2020 @ 12:00 AM PT. (ATEEZ, MAMAMOO, and SUNMI); October 12, 2020 @ 12:00 AM PDT (IZ*ONE, KARD, THE BOYZ) How do I send my submission?: This event is only open to KCON:TACT and KCON:TACT PLUS tier members. WHAT ARE THE FAN FEATURING CAMPAIGNS? ATEEZ It's time to send ATEEZ a special message! And, it may be broadcast with the messages of other fans during ATEEZ's performance at KCON:TACT. Here's what you need to do: First, grab a sheet of A4 paper and write your cheering message for ATEEZ. Please ensure that your text is readable and a maximum of one sentence. Then, take a photo + scan your message and attach as a PNG or JPEG to the Google Form application (link found on the YouTube Community). IZ*ONE For this contest, you will need to: 1) Create a handwritten message with the "Airplane" and then film yourself cheering with the message. 2) Make a paper airplane (or use any sort of plane toys etc...) and then film yourself cheering with it. Attach your MP4 or MOV files to the Google Form application (link found on the YouTube Community). KARD For this contest, you will need to: 1) Record yourself singing KARD's "OhNaNa". This should be a cappella although you may have the song playing in your earphones. 2) Export this file as an MOV/MP4. Attach your MP4 or MOV files to the Google Form application (link found on the YouTube Community). MAMAMOO This fan featuring event calls all of our KCON musicians! It’s time to show your instrumental skills and put your own twist on MAMAMOO’s “Starry Night”! Here's how you can apply: First, create an instrumental performance video of MAMAMOO's "Starry Night" with instruments like the piano or violin (or whatever you play best!). All of your submissions should be shot horizontally and exported in MP4/MOV. Following this, you will also need to submit an audio recording (BPM 124/Key C) and in WAV format. Attach these two files to your Google Form application (link found in the YouTube Community). SUNMI This fan featuring event invites fans to record themselves doing the "Gashina" point dance. Your video could be broadcast with those of other fans during Sunmi's performance at KCON:TACT. Here's what you need to do in order to apply: 1) After watching the “Gashina” event video please record your own dance video in horizontal format. Please make sure you follow the guide of the event video. 2) Attach your dance video (MOV/MP4) to the Google Form application (link found on the YouTube Community). THE BOYZ This fan featuring event invites fans to record themselves making a heart while recording a short message to THE BOYZ and to send a short handwritten message as well. Here's what you need to do in order to apply: 1) Decide on the type of heart you want to do (finger heart, making a paper heart, etc...) and then in horizontal format record a quick, supportive message! Export this as MOV or MP4. 2) Grab a piece of A4 paper and write a short message to THE BOYZ. Take a photo and scan it. JPEG or PNG work. 3) Record an audio shout out to THE BOYZ and export it as WAV. 4) Attach all three files to the Google Form application (link found on the YouTube Community). The 2nd Lineup for KCON:TACT season 2 Is Out!
Hi, KCON-ers! Are you ready for the second artist announcement of KCON:TACT season 2!? The second group of artists attending KCON:TACT are A.C.E, EVERGLOW, JO1, KIM WOO SEOK, LEE EUN SANG, ONF, THE BOYZ, and WOODZ (CHO SEUNG YOUN). KCON:TACT season 2 will be co-hosted by CJ ENM and The Korean Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) and is set to take place October 16-25 from Mnet’s world class television production studio in Seoul, South Korea. KCON:TACT season 2 will grow to 10 days and feature live concerts and meet & greets with dozens of top artists as well as countless hours of behind-scenes content from influencers and artists, both live and pre-recorded. Utilizing Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and eXpanded Reality (XR) technology, the event will continue to push the limits of what is possible with virtual entertainment and strengthen the ways fans at home can participate in the show as a live audience. KCON-ers from all over the world will be able to cheer together at the same time and the programs will provide English subtitles.
