KCON:TACT SEASON 2 is just over a week away and we wanted to take this chance to completely go through the event from A-Z. Our goal is to make this the main resource for any information you may need about membership, broadcast programs, new features, artist interaction events, and more.
We’ve done our best to keep it very link focused so you can take direct action on the things you want to do and on the lighter side with images since you are undoubtedly being inundated with square graphics every way you turn. (Can we get a hexagon? Triangle? Trapezoid?)

MEMBERSHIP
For KCON:TACT SEASON 2, there are two types of membership–KCON:TACT and KCON:TACT PLUS. We’ll go through in more detail below, but the tiers differ on four points: Price, Channel, Replay, FanPick Cam. Both tiers will be able to view all of the scheduled programs and participate in any of the artist interaction events (Fan Featuring, LIVE KCON-ers, Live Premiere, etc…)
KCON:TACT tier is $19.99 and it is available via KCON official and Mnet K-Pop YouTube channels. It will offer fans the ability to replay each day’s concert + M&G as a livestream replay (i.e. you will not be able to navigate to different moments as with VOD), but will not offer FanPick Cam, a feature that allows you to control the camera to focus on your favorite idols.
KCON:TACT PLUS tier is $24.99 and it is only available on KCON official. This is so we can keep the premium features on a single channel. This tier will give fans a VOD of each day’s concert + M&G after the livestream finishes (i.e. you will be able to replay anytime you want and navigate) and will offer the FanPick Cam.

Please note, you absolutely must be a member (either KCON:TACT or KCON:TACT PLUS) to participate in Fan Featuring, LIVE KCON-ers, and Fan Zone. For LIVE PREMIERE, you must be a member to participate, but viewing is open to the general public.

NEW FEATURES
We’ll be going into more detail about Fan Request (giving you links to each artist) as well as LIVE KCON-ers and M&G below, but we want to give you a quick rundown of what’s new at KCON:TACT SEASON 2.
Please note, all of these features are only available to those who are viewing KCON:TACT via YouTube. In an effort to make KCON:TACT more available in nations where YouTube memberships are not available there are platforms to view the stream, however all of the actual interactive elements, concert replays + VOD are only available to those who are viewing via YouTube.
- FanPick Cam: During the concert + M&G block of programming we’re giving fans the ability to essentially watch KCON:TACT as a fan cam. You’ll have the ability to rotate the camera to watch your bias(es) perform.
- Fan Request: This social only campaign asks fans to “request” the artists they would like to see in collabs or which songs they would like to see artists perform or even what concept you would like to see them in. While it does seem too close to the event for your voice to be heard, live events are always planned with a certain amount “on the fly” so please send us your requests. In the “Fan Request” section below we’ll link to each of the posts for each artist.
- Live Chat + Artist Interaction @ M&G: We heard that you wanted more interaction possibilities with the artists as you would at KCON’s artist engagement. So, for this KCON:TACT we’ll have the ability for the artists to interact with fans via SuperChat and more chances for fans to join in games during the the M&G.

BROADCAST PROGRAMS
Let’s go through each of the program blocks that you see on the schedule above.
Concert + M&G: The concert and meet & greet content block will run similarly to KCON:TACT 2020 SUMMER with some key additional features: 1) FanPick Cam, 2) Upgraded AR and stage technology, 3) Increased fan interaction during M&G. This livestream is only available to members and will begin at 5 AM PT.
M&G: This one is a little confusing since we also have M&G as part of the above program block. To explain, from Monday to Thursday KCON:TACT will operate more like a KCON Convention and feature additional M&G sessions (artist engagement), classes (panels/workshops), and the KCON Studio. These M&G sessions are only different in that they are broadcast on the weekdays. This livestream is only available to members and will begin at 5 AM PT.
KCON STUDIO X DIA TV DELIVERY: As we did at KCON 2019 NY, KCON:TACT will feature a KCON Studio populated by influencers from DIA TV. These VOD programs will be open to the general public and will be made available at 3:30 AM PT M-TH. We will release more information regarding the influencers taking part very soon.
POP UP CLASS: This program is done in concert with UNESCO and will feature artists. This program will take place M-TH at 6:30 AM PT and will be open to the general public. We will pass on more information once it’s available.
LIVE PREMIERE is a pre-KCON:TACT event and you can find more information in the section directly below!
PRE EVENT – LIVE PREMIERE
LIVE PREMIERE is a special live fan meeting with select artists before their KCON:TACT concert performance. Fans can submit messages they want to hear from the artist and the artist will read it to them face-to-face via Zoom! Enjoy a very special 45-minute meeting with your favorite artists and get in the spirit for KCON:TACT through live Q&A, dance challenges and more!

- This program is open to the general public for viewing only.
- [Member Benefit] Members will receive the exclusive chance to apply and get selected through random drawing to join the show as a participant. In addition, a few lucky members will be randomly selected prior to the show and asked to submit a message they want to hear from the artist. Winners will join the show via Zoom and watch the artists read their messages directly to them.
How can I apply?: You must becoome a member (KCON:TACT / KCON:TACT PLUS) and then head to the Community tab on the channel you joined (either KCON official or Mnet K-Pop) to apply.

ARTIST INTERACTION – LIVE KCON-ERS
LIVE KCON-ers allows a group of KCON:TACT members to join the concert and M&G as a live audience via Zoom with their faces featured on the broadcast. You can interact directly with the artists as they can see you cheering during their performance and talking sessions.
Who can become a Live-KCON-er: A KCON:TACT/ KCON:TACT PLUS tier member who applied and got selected through random drawing. To apply you absolutely must be of legal age in your country of residence by the date of broadcast.

When will winners be notified?: 10/13
There will be more detailed information about the application process on the form itself, but here are some things to keep in mind:
- If unnecessary content is included or if specified languages and characters are not used in filling out the form’s questions those answers will become invalid. Please give special attention to this when giving your answers.
- You may only apply for one artist team per day. Ex: You may submit applications for an artist team on 10/16 and 10/23 but not for two artist teams on 10/16.
- Should you want to submit an application for multiple days, you may submit your application via a unique link for each day. (Link to be provided 9/29)
- Should you submit multiple applications for the same artist only the most recently submitted application will be recognized. All others submitted before for that particular artist will become invalid.
- Participation in LIVE KCON-ers is in compliance with YouTube’s rules regarding minors as well as those of your nation of residence. In accordance with these policies, those who are not of legal age by the date of broadcast will not be able to participate. - LIVE KCON-ers winners are selected randomly. Those who have won will be notified via email entered on the application.
ARTIST INTERACTION – FAN ZONE
What Is FAN ZONE?: Invite your favorite artist to your room via KCON:TACT! Submit pictures of your room decorated with various fan items for your artist. The photos of your room will be shown and celebrated with the artist live on broadcast. One lucky winner whose room was chosen by the artists as their favorite will get a fabric poster autographed by the artists on the show!

As we touched on at the very top of the post, “Fan Request” is a social campaign whereby any fan can suggest what kind of collabs, stages, and concepts they would like to see an artist do at KCON:TACT. Below we will link to each Fan Request post by artist so that you can click and give your opinion!
ARTIST INTERACTION – FAN FEATURING
What is Fan Featuring?: Basically, this is a set of events where fans have the chance to have their messages and videos featured during the actual KCON:TACT concert as a special stage for the following artists: ATEEZ, IZ*ONE, JO1, KARD, MAMAMOO, SUNMI, THE BOYZ. Please note that each fan featuring event for each artist is unique. We ask that you take a look at each event image below, and then if any strike your fancy that you apply via the YouTube Community page.
Will this campaign be shown on the KCON:TACT season 2 broadcast?: Yes.
Can I submit to multiple artists?: Yes, you may make a submission to each fan featuring event.
Can anyone participate?: No. Only those members who are legal adults within their nation of residence by the date of broadcast may participate.
Why is there an age restriction?: Due to broadcasting rules regarding minors (and the classification of minors varying across different countries) only those who are legal adults in their country of residence may participate.
What is the deadline to submit?: October 9, 2020 @ 12:00 AM PT. (ATEEZ, MAMAMOO, and SUNMI); October 12, 2020 @ 12:00 AM PT (IZ*ONE, JO1, KARD, THE BOYZ)
How do I send my submission?: This event is only open to KCON:TACT and KCON:TACT PLUS tier members. First, join on KCON official or Mnet K-Pop
Then, visit the Community page where you will find the Fan Featuring event you want to enter. Use the link provided in the post and follow the instructions in the Google Form to submit your photos and videos for that specific event!
