Hi! The KCON:TACT 2020 Summer daily lineup is out! Check out the artist lineup for each day's "Concert + Meet & Greet" programming. Starting at 9am EDT, KCON:TACT will livestream the "Concert + Meet & Greet" programming daily for four hours. Each stream will feature 4 to 5 artists in a combination of live performances and meet & greet sessions for fans. Each artist team will have their own mini-concert and participate in a meet and greet program where a variety of interactive games and fun is planned. Fans can actually become a part of the favorite artists’ special stages and become featured on live broadcast by sending videos of them singing, dancing, chanting to the select songs through a planned “Fan Featuring” event as well as events like "Live KCON-ers". Hi! We have a new event to talk about leading up to KCON:TACT--Fan Featuring. Let's go through the basic information you need to know first! Membership Event: "Fan Featuring" What is Fan Featuring?: Basically, this is a set of events where fans have the chance to have their messages and videos featured during the actual KCON:TACT concert as a special stage for the following artists: IZ*ONE, ITZY, OH MY GIRL, MONSTA X, Kang Daniel, and MAMAMOO. How is this different from KCON Wish?: While KCON Wish asks you to send "wishes" for what you would like to see artists do, Fan Featuring is a set of campaigns where we ask you to do things like film a fan chant or send a handwritten message to a certain artist--these will then be edited together with the messages from fans across the world and made into a special stage with that artist at KCON:TACT. Unlike KCON Wish, your video or message may appear in the broadcast. Finally, KCON Wish is an Early Bird promotion. Fan Featuring is open to all members. Will this campaign be shown on the broadcast of the "Concert + Meet & Greet" programs on the KCON:TACT stream?: Yes. Can I submit to multiple artists?: Yes, you may make a submission to all (6) artist fan featuring events. Can anyone participate?: No. Only those born before June 20, 2000 will be able to participate. Why is there an age restriction?: Due to broadcasting rules regarding minors (and the classification of minors varying across different countries) only those born before June 20, 2000 will be able to participate. What is the deadline to submit?: June 14 11:59 PM KST // 7:59 AM PT How do I send my submission?: Visit the Mnet K-pop YouTube Community page and find the Fan Featuring event you want to enter. Use the link provided in the post and follow the instructions in the Google Form to submit your photos and videos for that specific event! WHAT ARE THE FAN FEATURING CAMPAIGNS? Please note that the submission links and forms referenced below are only viewable to KCON:TACT members on the YouTube Community page for Mnet K-Pop. You can join now here. MONSTA X This Fan Featuring campaign actually has (3) events. You may choose to participate in (1) or (2) or all (3) of the events. Your submissions may be in your native language. For all events, please submit via the "MONSTA X x MONBEBE SPECIAL STAGE" link on the Membership Community. Cheer message: For this one, just grab a nice sheet of paper or a post-it and write a short support message to MONSTA X. Take a pic and upload it as a PNG or JPEG. Cheer Video: This campaign asks you to film your support message and to shout MONSTA X + your favorite member(s). You can follow the directions on the graphic for that chant. We know it's a little weird to shout multiple times, but since this will be edited into a video, it's best if we have multiple versions of your chant just in case your voice is too low or too high in one version. Stand Up Sing-along: This one invites you to sing the chorus of "Stand Up"! Follow the lines as written on the graphic and be sure to submit all of your video files as either an MOV or MP4. And, film all videos horizontally. For all files, please follow this naming convention: MONSTAX_YOURYOUTUBECHANNELNAME_EVENT NAME Everything you submit may be joined with the messages from MONBEBE all around the world and broadcast during KCON:TACT! IZ*ONE Support Message This is a comparatively straightforward campaign. First, grab a sheet of paper or a post it. Then, write this question at the top "What is IZ*ONE to WIZ*ONEs?" Right beneath that write your answer! You may write this all in your native language. Please either take a photo or scan your message and submit as a PNG or JPEG via the YouTube membership community where there will be a link entitled "IZ*ONE x WI*ONE SPECIAL STAGE". Please make sure your file name follows this naming convention: IZONE_YOURYOUTUBECHANNELNAME Your message may be joined with WIZ*ONEs across the world and broadcast on KCON:TACT! Kang Daniel's Fan-made "2U" MV For this campaign, film your daily life as you enjoy the song "2U." If your family, friends, and even pets agree they may be a part of your video. You may submit your video as an MOV or MP4 via the YouTube membership community link for "KANG DANIEL x DANITY SPECIAL STAGE". Please make sure your video is filmed horizontally and make the file name follow this naming convention: KANGDANIEL_YOURYOUTUBECHANNELNAME Your video may be joined with those from fans all across the world and be broadcast on KCON:TACT! ITZY "ICY" Fan Chant For this event, we're asking MIDZY to create their own cheering video! Basically, you may use cheering props (either official merch or something you made yourself) and film yourself doing the "ICY" fan chant. You can follow the video right below! Please make sure to film your video horizontally. Please submit your video as either an MP4 or MOV to the "ITZY x MIDZY SPECIAL STAGE" link on the YouTube Membership Community. Make sure your file name follows this convention: ITZY_YOURYOUTUBECHANNELNAME Your video will join the fan chants from fans all over the world to be broadcast on KCON:TACT! OH MY GIRL's "Dolphin" Dance Cover For this campaign, we're asking you to film your own dance cover to OH MY GIRL's "Dolphin"! All you need to do is follow the video below, film your cover horizontally and submit an MP4 or MOV via the "OH MY GIRL x DOLPHIN SPECIAL STAGE" link. Hi, This is your friendly #KCONLiveChat co-host, Vanessa. I'm here to take you through all of the KCON:TACT campaigns that have been teased and released via social over the past week. We may not be able to meet via video, but I shall do my best here. First off, we want to take a moment to acknowledge that the "membership events" are much more opaque than what we would present to you at a KCON event. If you've made it to this article, thank you for sticking with us and we're going to do our best to sort it out right here, right now. Below, we will explain the following: Early Bird campaigns: "KCON Wish" and "Exclusive Video Call" Membership campaigns: "Live KCON-ers" How to participate in all Early Bird & Membership events via Google Form. There will be other campaigns in the coming days and we will be sure to explain the entry for those events here on kconusa.com. Those explanatory articles may come after the initial social posts due to timezone differences. Finally, we also want to address one more thing and that is age restrictions. The only campaign which has an age restriction is "Live KCON-ers" and participants must have been born before June 20, 2000. This is due to international broadcast rules and the various definitions of the term "minor" from country to country. We will go through why that is in the "Live KCON-ers" section below. However, we want to say this clearly: Since all (3) campaigns are submitted on the same Google form and (1) campaign has an age restriction, we ask that if you are a minor that you mark "No" on the Y/N question, "I wish to participate in 1:1 live interactive with my favorite artist." You may of course participate in the other two events and fill out the form accordingly. HOW DO I EARLY BIRD? If you participated in the first KCON NY Early Bird you may already have notions of what a KCON:TACT Early Bird event would be like. However, this is very different from our KCONUSA Early Bird campaign just by the very fact that this is a virtual event. Here's what you need to know: Campaign Ends: June 10 11:59 PM KST // 7:59 AM PT Is the price different?: No. It is $19.99/mo. What are the benefits of Early Bird?: If you purchase your KCON:TACT membership early then you have the ability to take part in two campaigns that let you connect with some of your favorite K-Pop artists. We will go through those now Campaign #1: KCON Wish What is KCON Wish?: This is a chance for you to send a wish to your artist of choice as an Early Bird member. Why should I participate?: You can interact with an artist you love and see the wishes of fans like you (maybe even you!) come to life. Can anyone participate?: Yes. Why is there no age restriction?: Through this event fans only need submit their wishes on the form. There is no broadcast appearance component. What is the deadline to submit?: June 10 11:59 PM KST // 7:59 AM PT Campaign #2: Exclusive Video Call What is Exclusive Video Call?: Among the Early Bird members, fans will be randomly chosen to appear in an exclusive video call with an artist and a small group of fans. This is similar to our Diamond Backstage M&G at onsite KCON events. How is this different from "Live KCON-ers"?: For "Live KCON-ers," fans who are selected will be able to virtually ask their questions to the artists and appear on the actual broadcast. The "exclusive video call" is more intimate and is not broadcast as a part of KCON:TACT. Will this be shown on the broadcast of the "Concert + Meet & Greet" programs on the KCON:TACT stream?: No. Why should I participate?: This is a very rare chance to have a video call with an artist and, like our Diamond M&G, it's a very special, KCON-only benefit. Can anyone participate?: Yes. Why is there no age restriction?: This is not publicly broadcast so there is no age restriction. What is the deadline to submit?: June 10 11:59 PM KST // 7:59 AM PT WHAT ARE MEMBERSHIP EVENTS? These are events open to all members outside of the Early Bird events above. We will announce more soon, but we do want to discuss the "Live KCON-ers" event as its multiple names has understandably caused confusion. Campaign #3: Live KCON-ers AKA 1:1 Live Fan Interactive (+"Fan Recruitment") What is "Live KCON-ers?": Good question! This event lets fans submit questions to KCON:TACT lineup artists. Among the submissions, fans will be chosen to actually ask their questions live on air during the "Concert + Meet & Greet" program. That means you will actually be seen on the broadcast alongside the artist as you ask your question. This is something we've never done before and we hope it helps you feel like you're actually there! Because it is like a 1:1 question time between you and the artist and because we are actually recruiting fans to join this campaign we had three titles being used. Apologies. The official title is "Live KCON-ers." How is this different from "Exclusive Video Call" ?: They both involve a live video chat but the similarities end there. The exclusive video call will not be broadcast on the actual KCON:TACT stream. "Live KCON-ers" will be a part of the actual "Concert + Meet & Greet" program during the stream. Is this different from the "Meet & Greet"? Does this mean only fans who are "recruited" can see the Meet and Greet program?: Don't think of this as different from the "Meet & Greet" program--it will take place during that program as a segment. KCON:TACT 2020 SUMMER (June 20-26) is a marathon stream of live and pre-taped content and will air seven full days in a row. You can expect to see a mix of live concerts, live meet and greet sessions, behind the scenes content, artist + influencer collaboration content, and influencer panels like those that can be found in-person at KCON events. The interactive programs are set to include over 30 K-Pop artists who fans will be able to interact with via live video chats, live polls, and much more.
