KCON USA

KCON PARTICIPANT CODE OF CONDUCT, RULES AND POLICIES

WELCOME TO KCON! As the organizers of KCON, we at CJ ENM USA, Inc. and our affiliates (together, “we,” “us,” “our,” or “CJ”) are committed to provide a safe, inclusive, welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone.  This KCON Participant Code of Conduct (the “Code”) and other related rules and policies (collectively, “Rules and Policies”) outline our expectations for you and all other KCON participants (“KCONers”) to observe and follow while attending any part of  KCON, including the KCON Convention (the “FESTIVAL GROUNDS”), the M COUNTDOWN SHOW (the “M COUNTDOWN”), MEET & GREETS, and other events hosted by us (collectively, “KCON”), in order to ensure a truly unforgettable KCON experience.

CJ reserves the right to modify and/or update the Code and the Rules and Policies at any time. We encourage you to please check back frequently for updates.

The KCON Participant Code of Conduct

The Code applies to your conduct while you are attending a KCON event, whether participating on-site or off-site, such as, without limitation, your participation on any KCON social media platforms.  Along with this Code, KCONers should use common sense rules for their behavior in public, including being courteous, cooperative, and considerate to others and property. As a KCONer, you are expected to follow all rules and instructions by CJ, KCON staff/representatives, venue staff, and/or security personnel.

We want to ensure that all KCONers understand what behavior is expected and what behaviors will not be tolerated at KCON.  All determinations of appropriate or inappropriate behavior are in sole discretion of the CJ and/or KCON staff/representative, and such decision(s) on-site will be final.

  • Comply with all Rules and Policies and with all applicable laws and regulations.

CJ reserves the right to refuse admittance to, or immediately remove any person from, the FESTIVAL GROUNDS, M COUNTDOWN, or any KCON programming at any time in its sole discretion, without a refund to you. If deemed necessary, the proper authorities will be notified.

Safety & Security/Reporting Procedure

Take care of yourself and your personal belongings while you are at KCON. If you see anyone violating the Code and/or the Rules and Policies, or feel you or someone else’s safety is at risk in any way, please report it to a KCON staff/representative or security personnel. As appropriate to the incident, we may direct you to other resources or authorities for resolution.

Drug and Alcohol Policy

The possession, distribution, or use of any illegal substances or outside alcoholic beverages is absolutely prohibited and can subject you to ticket forfeiture and removal from a KCON event. If the FESTIVAL GROUNDS or M COUNTDOWN venue supplies or sells alcoholic beverages, only those alcoholic beverages sold/supplied by the venue’s employee(s) at a venue-operated booth are permitted.

Weapons Policy

Pursuant to the Code, weapons, real or fake, are not allowed into any KCON event. Please do not bring anything that resembles or could be mistaken for a weapon. If you are found to have any such items, you will be asked to leave the venue and you may only seek entry into a KCON event without such items in your possession.

For KCON Participants with Disabilities

While the venues that we contract with have sole responsibility for providing appropriate accessibility and other accommodations in their facilities, CJ is committed to providing reasonable accommodations in KCON programming areas for KCONers, volunteers, and staff with special needs or disabilities that are protected by federal, state, and local public accommodation and accessibility laws.

KCON welcomes everyone of all abilities and strives to provide a stellar experience for everyone. If there are any issues while on-site, please contact a KCON staff/representative (who will have special KCON staff badges) on the floor of the venue or at Guest Services.

Youth/Minor Participation Policy

If you see any unattended children who are 13 years old and under, please immediately notify a KCON staff/representative at the nearest KCON information booth for assistance.

KCON Exhibitor/Vendor Policy

KCON exhibitors and vendors must abide by the terms and conditions of their agreement with CJ. Additionally, exhibitors and vendors are expected to comply with the Code and the Rules and Policies, as applicable. KCON Special Guest and Panelist Policy

Special guests and panelists should refer to the terms and conditions of their agreement with CJ. Further, just like all other KCONers, special guests and panelists are expected to comply with the Code and the Rules and Policies, as applicable.
