OH MY GIRL is an eight-member girl group formed by WM Entertainment. The members are HyoJung, JinE, Mimi, YooA, SeungHee, JiHo, Binnie, and Arin. They debuted with their first mini album <Oh My Girl> with title song “Cupid” in April 2015. Their second mini album <Closer> was released in October 2015. They released their third EP <Pink Ocean> with title track “Liar Liar” in March 2016 when they also announced their official fandom name, “Miracle,” at their comeback showcase for <Pink Ocean>. Oh My Girl held their first solo concert, Summer Fairytale, in Seoul in August 2016. Tickets were were sold out within three minutes, breaking the record for the fastest sold-out concert for a rookie group. Oh My Girl’s fifth EP <Coloring Book> was released on April 3 this year, along with title track of the same name. Woooooo! Fans of Oh My Girl, you just got a chance to get a whole lot “closer” to this girl group. KIM TAE WOO is a South Korean singer. He debuted as the lead singer for g.o.d. in 1999. The group became one of the most popular groups in the 2000s and are often referred to as “the Nation’s idol,” “Legends of K-Pop” with other first generation idols. They were also one of the few groups to have an album become a “million seller” in K-pop. In October 2006, Kim Tae Woo released his first solo album Solo Special, which sold over 100,000 copies in one month. In September 2009, he released mini-album T-Virus which also achieved over 100,000 sales. In the same year, he won “Best Ballad/R&B Performance” award with title song “Love Rain” from T-Virus at the 11th Mnet Asian Music Awards. In July 2014, he re-grouped with other members of g.o.d and made a comeback with album Chapter 8. He has been actively promoting his 6th studio album T-WITH since its release in July, 2017. KCON 2017 LA MCOUNTDOWN K-POP DANCE COVER CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. FOR MINORS 13 AND OLDER: BEFORE ENTERING, YOUR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN MUST CONSENT TO YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST (SEE ATTACHED CONSENT FORM) PLEASE READ THESE KCON 2017 LA MCOUNTDOWN K-POP DANCE COVER CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES (“OFFICIAL RULES”) CAREFULLY. IN CONSIDERATION OF CJ E&m AMERICA, INC. PERMITTING YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST, WHICH YOU ACKNOWLEDGE IS GOOD, VALUABLE, AND SUFFICIENT CONSIDERATION, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES. THESE OFFICIAL RULES ARE A CONTRACT THAT INCLUDES LIMITATIONS OF YOUR RIGHTS AND REMEDIES. ELIGIBILITY & SPONSOR: The KCON 2017 LA MCountdown K-Pop Dance Cover Contest (“Contest”), sponsored by CJ E&M America, Inc. (the “Sponsor”), is open only to legal residents of the contiguous United States and the District of Columbia (excluding residents of Rhode Island) (“Eligibility Area”) who comply with these Official Rules in all respects. Participation in the Contest is limited to individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older (as of the date the individual commences participation in the Contest) or minors thirteen (13) years or older with parental consent documented in a completed KCON 2017 LA MCountdown K-Pop Dance Cover Contest Parental/Guardian Consent Form (the “Consent Form”). Minors who do not obtain a valid, completed Consent Form are not eligible to enter or win. Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor or Sponsor’s parents, subsidiaries, and affiliates, and the immediate family members of such individuals (spouse, parents, siblings, children, legal guardians, in-laws, grandparents, and grandchildren, regardless of where they reside) and members of the same households (whether legally related or not) of such individuals, are not eligible to enter or win. Contest is void outside the Eligibility Area and wherever prohibited by law or where the registration or filing requirements of any state or local jurisdiction have not been complied with. CONTEST DESCRIPTION: Individuals who meet the eligibility requirements and who desire to participate in the Contest and agree to be bound by these Official Rules (the “Entrant(s)” or “you”) have the opportunity to win a Prize (as described in Paragraph 7) by competing in a dance video competition, set to Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry,” BTS’ “I Need You,” or Produce 101’s “Pick Me” (the “Contest Songs”). Entrants must create a dance cover video (original choreography or cover dance) set to the Contest Songs (the “Recording”). During the Recording Submission Period (as defined in Paragraph 3), Entrants must submit their Recording to Sponsor at contests@kconusa.com. Once the Recording Submission Period ends, all Recordings will undergo judging by select Sponsor staff members and other authorized personnel, using criteria outlined in Paragraph 6. The highest scoring Recordings will be awarded Prizes (the “Winner(s)”). TIMING: Contest Term: The Contest shall begin at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) on August 3rd, 2017, and end at 12:00 p.m. PT on August 13th, 2017. Contest Timing: i) Recording Submission Period: 10:00 a.m. PT on August 3rd, 2017 – 12:00 p.m. PT on August 13th, 2017; ii) Judging Period: 12:00 p.m. PT on August 13, 2017 – 12:00 p.m. PT on August 15th, 2017; iii) Winner Notification: On or about August 15th, 2017. HOW TO ENTER: Entrants may enter the Contest by doing the following: If Entrant is a Minor aged 13 years or older, send Sponsor a fully-executed Consent Form. This Consent Form must be received by Sponsor prior to submitting any Recordings; Create an eligible Recording that conforms to the Recording Guidelines in Paragraph 5. Submit your Recording to Sponsor at contests@kconusa.com. By completing the foregoing, you will be entered into the Contest. Use of any automated system to participate in the Contest or otherwise assist in participation or voting is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification. Please refer to Paragraph 9 for further information regarding disqualification. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted a Recording, the Recording will be deemed submitted by the Authorized Account Holder (as defined below) of the e-mail address from which the Recording was submitted or sent. A Winner may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that he/she is the Authorized Account Holder of the e-mail address associated with a winning Recording and that all eligibility requirements are met. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by the Internet access provider, online service provider, interactive computer service, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. No entries from automatically generated e-mail addresses shall be accepted. RECORDING GUIDELINES: Recording Requirements Entrants agree to and understand that the Recordings may be made available to the public, including without limitation, on a pre-show roll at KCON 2017 LA and on the Internet. Whether or not Recordings are published, Sponsor does not covenant or guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any Recordings. Each Recording must be an original creation of the submitting Entrant which is under no restriction, contractual or otherwise, that will prevent Sponsor’s use of the Recording and each Recording must be free of any and all liens, encumbrances and claims of third parties. Entrant acknowledges, agrees and warrants that, nothing in the Recording infringes on any copyrights, confidential information, trade secrets or trademarks belonging to any person or entity other than the Entrant, absent a suitable license, clearance or permission agreement (proof of which is required upon submission), or violates any person’s rights of privacy or publicity and that all necessary releases and permissions have been secured. Stickers at each announced Location are limited and only available while supplies last. Once an Entrant obtains all of the required Stickers and submits their official entry, Sponsor staff members will verify authenticity of the Stickers. The first five (5) verified Entrants who have collected all required Stickers shall be the winners of the Contest (“Winner(s)”). Disclaimer: Please be advised that in order to win the Contest, it is required to attend KCON 2017 Los Angeles. As between Sponsor and the Winners, it will be the Winners’ sole responsibilities to make all arrangements (e.g., transportation and lodging) in order to attend KCON 2017 Los Angeles. Sponsor will not be responsible for providing any means of transportation or lodging for the Winners. If a potential Winner is unable to attend KCON 2017 Los Angeles, the Entrant will ineligible to win the Contest, and an alternate Entrant may be selected to be the Winner. TIMING: Entry Period: The Contest shall begin at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) on July 28th, 2017, and end at 11:59 p.m. PT on August 13, 2017 or whenever the last Prize is awarded (the “Entry Period”). Winner Announcement: The Winners will be verified and announced by no later than August 15, 2017. Sponsor shall post the names of the Winners on KCON’s official website (https://kconusa.com/) along with KCON’s social media platforms. Please see Section 7 for further details. HOW TO ENTER: To enter the Contest, please follow the instructions set forth below carefully. Follow official KCON social media platforms to discover the Locations of the Stickers; Perform any challenge presented by staff at the Locations to collect your Sticker; Collect all nine (9) unique Stickers; Contact Sponsor staff at giveaways@kconusa.com to verify authenticity; Be the first five (5) Entrants to submit their set of Stickers to win! ENTRIES ARE LIMITED TO ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON. Subsequent attempts made by the same individual to submit multiple entries may be disqualified. Any false or deceptive entries or acts (including sharing, copying or creating fraudulent Stickers) shall result in a disqualification for all involved Entrants. Please refer to Section 8 for further information regarding Disqualification. As a condition of entering the Contest, each Entrant gives consent for Sponsor to obtain and deliver his or her name, address and other information to third parties for the purpose of administering this Contest and complying with applicable laws, regulations and rules. WINNER SELECTION: During the Entry Period, Entrants may submit proof of their set of Stickers to Sponsor. Sponsor will verify authenticity and award the first five (5) Entrants to provide a complete set of verified Stickers. All decisions of Sponsor shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. Winning is subject to verification of eligibility. All Winners shall be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (and a completed IRS W-9 form), except where prohibited upon issuance of the Prize at KCON 2017. All documents required as set forth above may be referred to herein as “Required Documents.” Such Required Documents must be received by Sponsor by August 155, 2017. The Required Documents may request information of each Winner, including full name, home phone number, e-mail address, date of birth, and parent/legal guardian’s name and e-mail address, if applicable. A potential Winner’s failure to respond to the notification, failure to return all Required Documents by August 15, 2017, or failure to be in compliance with these Official Rules in any way may result in the potential Winner being disqualified, and an alternate Winner may be selected at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
