#KCON17LA CONVENTION TICKET FAQ

Hello KCON-ers! Can you believe #KCON17LA is less than a month away!? We definitely can’t! What’s neat about KCON is that it’s a spectacular event that is a convention by day and a concert by night! If you’re not able to join us for the concert, there’s still a lot of fun in store for you, at the convention! Come meet a fellow KCON-er, enjoy some awesome panels and workshops with all your favorite special guests, and check out all the booths!

#KCONFlowerBoy Facts – Get to Know Your 2017 Flower Boys!

What better way to cool off at KCON LA than with refreshing coffee and flower boys?! The 2017 Flower Boy Cafe is back at KCON 2017 LA! Flower Boy Cafe tickets will be available for purchase at https://kconusa.com/kcon-la-attend starting Friday, July 21, 2017 at 10AM. Flower Boy Cafe has timed sessions that are 45 minutes each, so be sure to grab tickets before your preferred time slots run out! Stay tuned for more exciting news regarding the KCON Flower Boy Cafe by following @kconusa, if you haven’t already, and if you have suggestions/requests, share them with us using hashtag #KCONFlowerBoy!

9 Questions You Might Have for #BringYourKrowd {LA Edition}

In the beginning of May, we announced the #BringYourKrowd contest through the KCON Live Chat. We know you might have a lot of questions regarding the new contest for KCON 2017 USA, so…before it officially kicks off, we’ve got more information for you below, Q & A style! 1. WHAT IS #BRINGYOURKROWD? After #KCON17NY, #BringYourKrowd is a cool contest we are continuing with #KCON17LA where you bring your friends and family to the KCON convention for a chance to win a Hi-Touch with a participating artist of your choice! 2. HOW MANY PEOPLE QUALIFY AS A KROWD? Any group with 2 or more people qualifies as a Krowd! Please do not be discouraged if your Krowd is small…because you never know if you will be the winner! 3. HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO GATHER MY KROWD? Once registration for KCON17LA opens at 10AM PST on July 21st, you have two weeks to gather your Krowd and enter before the deadline. 4. HOW DO I ENTER THE CONTEST? First, visit the registration page to buy your own convention ticket. You can either ask members of your Krowd to each purchase individual convention tickets or buy the convention tickets for them (1 convention ticket per transaction). Gather the unique confirmation number from each member and fill out the form here. Then you’re done entering the contest! 5. DO I NEED TO HAVE A CONCERT TICKET TO PARTICIPATE? No! The contest is only for the KCON17LA Convention, and your Krowd will only have to come to the KCON convention to be qualified. 6. WHAT IS THE PRIZE OF THE CONTEST? The top 5 leaders of the Krowd with most members in the group will each win ONE Hi-Touch with a participating artist of their choice at KCON17LA! The 1st place Krowd leader will have the priority to choose the artist first, then 2nd place and etc. 7. HOW MANY WINNERS WILL THERE BE? There will be FIVE winners at KCON17LA. Each participant can only be part of ONE group. For instance, if you are the leader of one Krowd, you cannot be part of someone else’s Krowd. 8. HOW DO I FIND OUT IF I WON? ONLY the winners – 5 leaders of their Krowd with most members coming to the convention of KCON LA – will be notified individually before August 18, 2017. We will set up an “appointment” time for you to bring all members of your Krowd to be checked-in together on the first day (August 18) of KCON LA, meaning DESIGNATED GROUP CHECK-IN time (no waiting in lines)! 9. WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE FRIENDS? Too bad…just kidding! Since the Krowd leaders will be the only ones winning the artist Hi-Touch, it is time to gather your non-Kpop friends to come and have fun at the KCON LA convention! This year, the convention will feature 200+ vendors and upgrade itself with countless booths and cultural activities, not to mention more freebies, artist visits, and artist engagement sessions! Now…it’s time to spread the word and trend #BringYourKrowd! [#KCON17LA] Get to Know ASTRO!

The six boys of the Fantagio Entertainment group ASTRO are making their second appearance at KCON LA! They were first introduced to the world in the web-drama “To Be Continued,” and since their official debut on February 23, 2016 with the title track “Hide & Seek,” ASTRO has continued to steal the hearts of fans around the world. Before you see them show off their charms onstage at #KCON17LA, familiarize yourself with the members! JinJin (Park Jin Woo) Birthday: 1996.03.15 Birthplace: Ilsan, South Korea Blood Type: A Languages: Korean, English As the leader, main rapper, and lead dancer, JinJin has a lot on his plate, but he handles all of his duties with a bright smile. And if his adorable smile wasn’t enough to make your heart flutter, his deep voice and rapping skills definitely will! Fun Fact!: Jinjin is also a talented drummer and beatboxer! MJ (Kim Myung Jun) Birthday: 1994.03.05 Birthplace: Suwon, South Korea Blood Type: O Language: Korean As the oldest member, main vocal MJ stands out with his smooth voice and his contagious laughter. In 2012, MJ won a scholarship to the prestigious Seoul National University through a JYP Entertainment audition. Fun Fact!: The other members often describe MJ as having a 4-D (unique) personality. Cha Eunwoo (Lee Dongmin) Birthday: 1997.03.30 Birthplace: Gunpo, South Korea Blood Type: B Language: Korean In addition to his obvious good looks, vocal Eunwoo is also incredibly kind and intelligent. While in middle school, Eunwoo was school president and among the top three students in his school. He dreamed of becoming a judge, but ended up pursuing a music career instead. Fun Fact!: Eunwoo has a cute habit of chuckling and talking in his sleep, though this makes some of the members freak out at times. Moonbin (Moon Bin) Birthday: 1998.01.26 Birthplace: Cheongju, South Korea Blood Type: B Language: Korean Although he made his debut as an idol with the rest of ASTRO in 2016, charming lead vocal and lead dancer Moonbin has been in the entertainment industry since he was a child. Along with Chanwoo from IKON and Cha Ni from SF9, he starred in TVXQ’s 2006 music video for “Balloon.” Fun Fact!: Moonbin’s mother once sent in a concern about Moonbin to the advice show “Hello Counselor.” She was frustrated with his taciturn attitude and poor sleeping habits. Rocky (Park Minhyuk) Birthday: 1999.02.25 Birthplace: Jinju, South Korea Blood Type: O Language: Korean The charismatic main dancer, lead rapper, and vocal Rocky has endless talents. He is skilled in several genres of dance, including jazz, hip hop, and tap, and made this amazing choreography for ASTRO’s song “Fireworks.” Fun Fact!: Rocky considers his role model to be G-Dragon from BIGBANG. Yoon Sanha Birthday: 2000.03.21 Birthplace: Seoul, South Korea Blood Type: AB Language: Korean Adorable lead vocal Sanha is the youngest member of ASTRO, and he even debuted with braces! He learned how to play guitar from his father and brothers, and you can see his instrumental talents in this cover.
